New fall TV shows are starting to pop up! I love me some TV :) The new season of Ellen started yesterday and I made a list of all the other shows I watch and looked up the start dates for the new season. I need help. There is at least one new show that I was thinking of starting up this season but I already watch too many to keep up with sometimes that I'm thinking I should hold off. Except what usually happens is it turns out to be a big hit and I missed out and have to catch up later through Netflix which is what I'm doing with two shows already! I went to Walgreens yesterday and found me some New Moon Candy! Way better than the Twilight candy cuz it's CHOCOLATE! In fact I think I'll grab me a piece right now. Mmmm. Yumm. I'm back.....I'm getting tickets to see Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood do their "Whose Line Is It Anyway" show in Milwaukee again in January! This will be our 3rd year in a row. Go ahead call me psycho but hubby and I love them! They are so hilarious! And the great part is since it's improv it's always different. So today I was trying to catch up on reading some of the many blogs I follow. (Didn't get very far) I was reading some of the recent past posts on Angie's blog when I came across some where she mentioned Wreck This Journal by Keri-Smith. She's doing a weekly post showing what she did in her journal. I had to find a copy of this book. It looks like fun! So today while I was out I stopped at Barnes and Noble and got a copy......and talked my mom into it too! I hope to get started soon and join in on Wednesday's when she does her weekly post. I'm looking forward to it but on the other hand I'm so not a destroyer of books it may just crush me!
I've mentioned before that I watch a lot of tv. So since the new television season is upon us I thought I'd share with you a list of the shows I have to watch. These are the ones I make a point of watching regularly when there are new episodes. There are plenty others that I'm willing to watch but don't make a point of seeing them every week or Tivo-ing them.In no particular order:Army Wives: Love it! One of the best shows on tv I think. Not to mention the hotness that is Drew Fuller.Psych: Funny show. Love the interaction between Sean and Gus. Gus really cracks me up sometimes. Pineapple anyone?Monk: My favorite obsessive compulsive detective. I have a few things that I'm a little obsessive about at home so hubby call me "monk" sometimes. Lost: I am so Lost when it comes to this show sometimes. I don't know what the hell is going on but still love it. It keeps you coming back for more hoping to finally be given some answers. But then you get one question answered and you have five more! Josh Holloway...........Matthew Fox.........need I say more?Ellen Degeneres Show: She is so funny. Mom and I watch her every night while having dinner. Even when there is a guest on that you don't know or isn't a fave it's still fun to watch because she makes it interesting. Survivor: Have loved it from the very beginning. We've watched every season as a family. Amazing Race: Another "reality" show I've watched since it started. Some of those couples are so dysfunctional! Hubby and I always joke about us doing it together. I would get us so totally lost!My Name is Earl: Hubby is the one that started watching and it took me a season or so to catch on. But now we have to watch it together every week. The Office: Jim and Pam forever!!! Don't we all have those unusual people we work with? There seems to be an over abundance of them in this office though, which is what makes it so funny. I love John Krasinski!Friday Night Lights: I am so glad my mom finally talked me into watching this. I missed the first season but put it on Netflix and was able to watch them all over the summer in time to catch the second season. It's such a good show, but has low ratings. We almost lost it. So glad DirecTv picked it up. Hope it doesn't change and they are able to keep it going. It's not all about football. It's about life. And it has another of my favorite hotties.... Taylor Kitsch! Lipstick Jungle: Just a fun, kind of guilty pleasure show I started watching last year. Mmm. This one's got Robert Buckley! Ok, do guys see a pattern here? LOL NO, hot guys is not my only criteria for liking a show. But it doesn't hurt! The two new ones I am planning to add to my list this year.............The Mentalist: Looks like it's kind of the serious version of Psych. A guy with a keen observation skills helping the police to solve crimes. My Own Worst Enemy: Christian Slater. This one was hyped up and advertised a lot during the Olympics. I hope it's that good. It kind of made me think of that movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger (True Lies) where his wife didn't know he was a spy.
I totally want to take a ride in the CA$H CAB !!!It looks like such a fun game show. Especially if you are with a group of friends or something. I told hubby I want to take a trip to New York. While there we can take some time hailing cabs in the city! If the driver's not Ben we could just move on. No matter that there is only like a zillion cabs in the city of New York! Tiger was asking tonight if kids were allowed to ride and if we would share the winnings with her. That all depends on if you help with answering the questions or if you just sit there grinning cuz you're in the CA$H CAB!!TAXI!!!
Has anyone watched that new game show Wipeout? My mom and I decided to check it out last night because her golfing buddies said it was hilarious. It is! At first I felt bad for laughing at people getting hurt. But then on second thought I realized these people signed up for this. They chose to go on this show and do these ridiculous stunts on national TV for millions of people to watch. What kind of people do this?I've always thought it would be fun to be on a game show. But some kind of trivia game or something. Not a game where I have to humiliate myself for a chance at the prize money. Today I have more fun stuff to look forward to. I'm headed out to my gyno visit in about an hour. Fun times!
Bring me a dreamAhhh! I've had that song stuck in my head since last night. I was watching some first season episodes of Friday Night Lights and there was a sweet scene where one of the guys was singing that to his grandma and I can't get it out of my head now! BTW, I am loving FNL. I'm sending the second DVD back today and the next one can't come soon enough. Imagine that, my mom was right about something. I've got the second season episodes being recorded and waiting on my tivo. I've seen a couple preview scenes on commercials and it looks good, though I'm trying not to pay attention to them because I'm not there yet. Just heard hubby come in, better move, we're going pumpkin hunting today!
First I must say my husband and I watch quite a bit of TV. Now that we have the Tivo.....forget it, we are taping everything! lol I love it though, I'm able to watch some of my favorites when it fits my schedule and not miss them because of other appts. etc.Anyway, hubby turns on the TV today and there's sound but no picture! He comes into the bedroom knocks on the bathroom door telling me that we are in crisis mode. What? We can't live like that. Especially now with Rick Springfield's Noah/Eli storyline finishing up it's run this week with him performing on GH for the first time ever!! So he calls Best Buy to set up a service call. We just got this Sony Wega about 1 1/2 yrs ago and it's still under the extended warranty. They told us the bulb would last much longer than this so we were a little miffed. A short time later I turned it on to see what was up, no pic. But I asked if he had changed the channel, tried this, that? I changed the channel and boom we have picture! Whew! Because who knows how long it would have been to get a technician out here. So now he is happily watching TV (and eating dry croutons, what's up with that?) as I type this. Just finished watching The Take Home Chef........now who wouldn't want to take him home??
