It's Always Something!

Took Skowt to the orthodontist yesterday expecting them to let me know when they would be starting the second phase of her treatment.

Little did I know that we'd be leaving with x-rays and a letter to an oral surgeon outlining surgery that needs to be done before they can continue!

She was a little concerned about having surgery and if it will hurt. She has to be put under so I told her she won't even know what's going on but might be sore after it's done.

Then she apologized for costing us so much money! Money Schmoney. Doesn't matter when it comes to your kid's heath. Hubby and I are coming to terms with the fact that we will forever be in debt!

Off to call that oral surgeon.

PS. Go wish Shannon a happy birthday, she's on a mission with her 100th post!

I went to the dentist a month or so ago, and they told me I had 4 cavities! Not quite the info I wanted considering I have no dental insurance...

I hope everything goes well! Matt has braces too right now so I can imagine how startling the news would be!

WE have spent thousands in this year on dental for the kids, and we haven't even hit braces yet. Hope all goes well with her surgery.

We are just about finished paying for the oldest daughter's second round of braces, which totaled over $5000 altogether, and we expect to be getting started on daughter #2's braces as soon as we are actually finished. Thankfully, Daughter #3 is still only two, so we have a few years to start saving up again for hers.
