So, I got to thinking and thought I'd do a list of famous people with diabetes. They've been telling her from the beginning not to let it stop her and she can still be anything she wants to be. As I started looking for people to list, I realized there were way more than I thought.
Here are some of the more recognizable ones I came across:
- Nick Jonas (drums, guitar, vocals for the Jonas Brothers)This is the one my daughter relates to the most. Since she is becoming a fan of the Jonas Brothers
- Brad Wilk (drummer for Audioslave)
- Billie Jean King (tennis player)
- Jackie Robinson (baseball player)
- Jerry Mathers (....as the Beaver)
- Mary Tyler Moore (actress, Mary Tyler Moore show, Dick Van Dyke show)
- Halle Berry (actress)
- Bret Michaels (singer for Poison)
- Ray Kroc (Founder of McDonalds)
- Anne Rice (author, Interview With A Vampire)
- Laura Ingalls Wilder (author)

I'm so glad to hear that she's doing so well!
What a great list! Good thinking, MOM! :-) At least she can see that diabetes is not the worst thing in the world and she's not the only one who has to deal.
