Conversations

My kids will sometimes have the strangest conversations. And sometimes they are really profound. My 10 year old will come out with something that will sound like it came from a wise old woman. I always think I should blog them but when it comes time I can never remember what it was that was said that I thought was either so funny or intense. I want to try to be better at remembering them and maybe make this a regular part of my blog.

Yesterday they were talking about dreams and I happened to be on the computer at the time so I typed it up right away. I don't know why but this just really struck me funny......

Tiger: I never have dreams, except that one time when I was 5 and I dreamt
that giant potato was attacking us.

Skowt: Dreaming is the best part of sleeping. It's like watching TV.

Tiger: Yeah, but you can't pick the show.

I won the lottery!!

.........in my dream last night.

Well, me and 9 other people. But rather that split the money we decided to do a survivor-esque vote out to decide who got all the money. How lame is that?

As it was going on I realized how we were voting and figured who was going to be in the last 3 so I went to them and we made a deal to be the last 3 for sure and split the money. We'd all get $30 million each. Yeah, because to split it 10 ways and only get $9 million each just wasn't enough!

Then I started questioning if we really won. So we went online to check the numbers but they weren't posted on the lottery site. We had to enter our numbers to verify that we won. Well, I was so nervous I was shaking and couldn't get it entered correctly and had to keep starting over.

I then made a pact with my cousin for us to watch out for each other and not change and become snobs because of the money.

Then I woke up. So I don't even know for sure if I got any money!

Strange Dreams

I had two strange dreams last night.

First I dreamt two of my co-workers got fired for stealing from the store. One of them pulled a gun while working (not at all someone you'd expect to have a gun!) and they took off with some cash and we found out they had been stealing for quite some time. My mom had been called to go help out at the store and she wouldn't tell me why, but I was with her when she went. When we got there I found out because the surveillance tape was playing in the office. Strange too.....the store didn't really look like the place I work.

The second was about the cruise hubby and I are taking. For some reason we were on different flights. I realized when I was ready to board mine that I hadn't packed any of our cosmetic items. I had packed the suitcase with clothes the day before but was going to put all the rest in the next day and never did. I tried to call my hubby to pack a bag quick but found out he was boarding at the same time. I didn't even know when his flight was. I was freaking out because we wouldn't have any deodorant or shampoo. We'd have to find a store a buy a bunch of stuff before getting on the ship.

I hope it's not a premonition. Though every time we do take a trip I always feel like I've forgotten something, even though I make lists of everything we need to bring.

We got our passports yesterday, they look so empty. I wish we could go traveling to fill them up. Also got the copy of the pic of me with the Nelson brothers. I'll try to scan it later when I have time and share it with you even though I look like a dork!

Dreams

It's been a while since I've remembered a dream and now here I've remembered them the past three nights in a row. I usually do recall them quite often, my husband claims he never does. Maybe he just doesn't want to tell me! I really don't know anything about dreams, why we dream certain things or what they mean but I think it's interesting non the less. So, wanna hear mine? I'm gonna tell you anyway.......

Monday I dreamt that I saw Rick Springfield in a Levi's jeans commercial. I was watching Days of Our Lives (which I haven't watched in a long time) and there was a scene with Bo and Hope and it went to commercial and it was Rick crawling around in jeans. Nice! After it was done I tried to rewind my tivo to see it again and I couldn't find it. :(

Tuesday my dream was that I noticed the new Harry Potter book we bought was missing pages and I was frantically trying to warn my mother who was reading it at the time. I recall that in the dream I stated exactly which pages were missing but I can't remember them now. It was a chunk of about 300 pages.
I'm thinking it comes from the fact that my mom mentioned she saw in the news that there were a bunch that were misprinted. They were missing pages but had double of others.

Last night I dreamt that we were all sleeping in my mom's old house and this car full of people pulled up in the driveway and someone started pounding on the door screaming something about lying. We all woke up and I screamed at my brother to call 911. By the time we got through the car had left.
Now when I woke up I had the feeling of this happening twice and I can't determine if I've actually had a similar dream or if in the dream it was the second time it had happened. Weird....
