Book signing: Barbara Delinsky

On Thursday night I went to see Barbara Delinsky with a couple friends:

I must admit though that I have not read any of her books. I went because I wanted to spend time with Amy & Kelley and also because it sounded interesting. It was. Interesting to hear an author talk about their work and why they do what they do. I found out she is from my home state: Massachusetts!

I also went to play paparazzi for Amy. LOL You can see the pic I took of her and Barbara on her blog.

But now after going I've decided to give one of her books a try. Not sure where to start. Any suggestions Amy? Maybe I should just start at the beginning. I'm the kind of person that likes to read books in the order that the author has written them. Even when the books have nothing to do with each other and do not need to be read chronologically. I'm just weird that way.

My mom said she thought she may have one of her books so I went to check out her stash. Well, it's like trying to find a needle in a freakin' haystack. I don't know how may books she has but they have overtaken her closet and there is no rhyme or reason to the way she has them. Check it out. Excuse the poor quality of the photos. They are in a dark closet and it was early!

You should be able to click on the photos and bigify (yes it's a word, I saw it on another blog so that makes it so) them if you aren't able to read the text I put in.

We've talked about her sorting and making a catalogue of all her books but just have never gotten to it. I'm sure it will be an all day project (if not longer). But it would make it a heck of a lot easier for me to find something I want.

And it would keep her from buying duplicate books as she has been known to do in the past!

Today is a very big day in the Where’s Wenda? Contest. I am visiting all of the SITS followers. Can I do it? There are around 1000 followers. Oh my! Better grab my cup of coffee and get on my way. Be sure to visit Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha and Three Bay B Chicks as part of your contest entry.

Hey, girl! I told you my faves are "Together Alone", "A woman's Place" (that's the one that was a Lifetime movie), "coast Road" and "Three Wishes". "Family Tree" is a good one. and this new one, "While My Sister Sleeps" definitely worth a read.

Hey, just stopped by from SITS. That's so funny about your mom--I read a lot, but I usually check books out from the library so my stash isn't that big yet. I could see it happening in my future, though. :oD

I've been needing a new fav author, since I've read all of Kristin Hannah's books! I'll have to get one from the library to read!
