Olympic Conversations

{Vol. 2 of my series of weird conversations with my kids}

The four of us were watching the Olympics the other night and the Men's Luge was on. Tiger was not familiar with the sport so she started asking some questions.

Tiger: So what's the difference between this and the bobsled?

Me: The bobsled is "enclosed" and there are usually 2 or 4 men in it.

Tiger: Well then why do these guys (in the luge) wear those suits?

Me: It's a special suit that keeps them warm so they don't have to wear bulky clothes that slow them down.

Tiger: So then won't the bobsledders get cold if they are wearing regular clothes?

Me: Huh?

Tiger: Well, you said that they are "in clothes".

She also could not remember Apolo Anton Ono's name either and kept calling him everything under the sun. I came home from work on Sunday and she asked me when "Poncho" was going to skate again!
